AGES 8 AND UP
Adaptive Ballet
Adaptive Ballet is an opportunity for children with special needs to experience the joy of dance and music in a positive and supporting atmosphere.
Students looking to enroll in Adaptive Ballet should please contact New Bedford Ballet to determine eligibility.
Placement Classes
Once a foundation has been formed, ballet students will build physical strength, muscle memorization and agility as they are introduced to more complex steps and combinations in Ballet Levels A through E. The upper levels of D and E are used to improve technique, advance pointe work, and to expose the students to other dance forms such as modern and jazz.
Ballet Levels A through E are enrolled by placement. All new students ages 8 through 18 are required to attend a placement class so Artistic Staff may determine their appropriate level of study.
